However the recipient researcher must agree to never attempt to access identifiable health/medical information or to attempt to identify the subject(s) who provided the specimen/data. Such coded specimens/data may be distributed without separate, independent IRB approval once the recipient researcher confirms the agreement stating that s/he will not attempt to identify human subjects from whom the specimens/data were derived.
